Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, share and protect your information when you use our website, contact us, register for our creator network, send a brand enquiry or use our portal.
Who we are
Desi Growth Media ("DGM", "we", "us") is a marketing agency based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, operated by Desi Growth. We offer social media management, reels and content production, influencer and UGC campaigns, Meta advertising, Google Business Profile management, websites, SEO and related digital marketing services.
For any question or request about your information, email info@desigrowthmedia.com or desigrowthmediaagency@gmail.com, or call +91 95113 96875.
Information we collect
We collect the information you choose to give us, and a small amount of technical information needed to run and protect our website and portal.
- Growth audit, contact and homepage brief forms: your name, phone number, email (optional), business name and type, city, how long the business has been running, a website or social media link, the services, goals, budget and message you choose, and the page you sent the form from.
- Creator registration: your full name and creator name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, city and locality, creator type, niche, languages, skills, years of experience, availability and introduction; your social media profile links with follower counts and average views; audience details you choose to share (such as top locations, age and gender mix); links to your work; collaboration preferences and brands you have worked with; an optional expected rate; an optional photo; your confirmation that you are 18 or older; and your consent choices with the time you gave them.
- Brand enquiries: your name, company, work email, phone (optional), industry, campaign location, the type and number of creators you need, platforms, budget range, deliverables, dates and campaign details.
- Internship applications: the answers you give in our internship Google Form. We may import these answers into our portal to review them.
- Portal accounts (DGM team members and brand clients): name, email, role and permissions, and a password, which is stored only as a secure one-way hash (we cannot read it).
- Messages: what you send us by WhatsApp, email or phone.
- Technical and security information: our portal records the IP address and browser type of signed-in sessions, the IP address and time of important actions (such as a registration, sign-in or change to a record), and uses temporary counters per IP address to block repeated or automated form submissions. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs.
We never ask for social media passwords or login codes.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare your growth audit or proposal, and provide the services you ask for.
- To review creator applications, match creators with suitable brand campaigns and contact creators about them.
- To review internship applications.
- To give brand clients and DGM team members access to the portal, with the permissions their role allows.
- To keep our website, portal and forms secure, prevent spam and misuse, and investigate problems.
- To keep business, accounting and legal records.
We do not sell your information and do not use it for unrelated advertising.
What brands can see about creators
Registering does not share your profile with anyone. After our team approves your profile, we may share it with brands we are working with, in their private client portal. A brand can see:
- your creator name (or a neutral label if your name is your handle), creator type, city and locality, introduction, niche, skills, languages, experience and availability;
- your photo, if you uploaded one;
- the platforms you are on (names only) with follower counts, average views, engagement and audience details;
- selected work samples, and notes and a campaign price that DGM adds.
Brands never receive your phone number, your email address, your social media profile links or handles, your expected rate, or our internal notes through DGM. Our team stays your point of contact and coordinates with you on the brand's behalf.
If you also tick the optional public profile box, DGM may show a short card about you on our "Find creators" page: your creator name, creator type, city, niche, platform names, a follower range and selected work samples, and your photo only if DGM chooses to show it. It never shows your contact details, rates or profile links.
Who else we share information with
- Service providers who help us run our website and services, only for that purpose: our web hosting provider; FormSubmit, which delivers website form submissions to our email; Google (Gmail, Google Forms for internships, Google Fonts on our website and the Google Maps map on our contact page); YouTube, when you choose to play a video on our website; WhatsApp (Meta), when you message us there; and our email provider for portal emails. Some of these providers may process information outside India.
- Brands we work with: an approved creator's profile, as described above. Never a creator's phone number, email address or profile links.
- Creators selected for a campaign: the campaign brief and the brand details they need to deliver the work.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights and users.
Cookies and similar technology
Our public website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. When you visit it, your browser connects to Google to load fonts, and on the contact page to show the Google Maps map; if you play a video, it loads from YouTube. Google and YouTube may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
Our portal uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms against misuse. The portal does not work without them.
How long we keep information
- Enquiries (growth audit, contact, homepage brief and brand enquiry forms, and internship applications): we keep them for 12 months from our last contact with you, and then review them. If an enquiry becomes a client relationship, it is kept as part of that client's records.
- Creator profiles: we keep your profile while you are part of our creator network. We review inactive profiles every six months. We do not delete a profile just because time has passed; you can ask us to remove it at any time.
- Portal accounts: while the account is in use, and then as part of our records of who did what in the portal.
We may keep some information for longer where we need it for legal, contractual, accounting, tax, security or dispute reasons, for example invoices, signed agreements and records of campaigns a creator worked on. Copies in our backups are removed when those backups expire.
How we protect information
- Access to the portal needs a personal account. Each team member only gets the permissions they need; contact details, rates and internship applications have separate permissions.
- Passwords are stored using secure one-way hashing, never in readable form. Sign-in and form submissions are rate-limited.
- Uploaded photos are re-saved to remove hidden information such as location data, and kept in private storage that cannot be opened by a public web address. They are shown only to the people described above.
- Changes to important records are logged.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if something goes wrong.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update it;
- stop sharing your creator profile with brands, or remove it from our network;
- delete your information, except what we must keep for legal, accounting or security reasons;
- withdraw a consent you gave (this does not affect what happened before).
Email info@desigrowthmedia.com or desigrowthmediaagency@gmail.com from the email address you used with us, so we can confirm it is you. We record every request and reply as soon as we reasonably can.
If you ask us to remove you from our creator network: once we have confirmed it is you, we stop sharing your profile with brands, take it off our website and archive it. We then delete or anonymise the details we do not need to keep. Some information may have to be kept for the legal, contractual, accounting, security or dispute reasons described above, and copies in backups are removed only when those backups expire. We will tell you what we have done and anything we had to keep.
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules are coming into force in phases; most of the duties for businesses and the rights of individuals take effect from 13 May 2027. Until then, Indian privacy law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, continues to apply. We already handle the requests above voluntarily.
Questions and complaints
If you have a question or are unhappy with how we handled your information, email info@desigrowthmedia.com or desigrowthmediaagency@gmail.com, or call +91 95113 96875. We will look into it and reply to you.
Children
Our services and creator network are meant for adults. Creators must confirm they are 18 or older when they register, and we do not knowingly accept creator registrations from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
